It was a warm summer afternoon when I arrived to Graham Presbyterian Church. The beautiful historic church is nestled right in the heart of a quiet little town not far from Greensboro, North Carolina. I could not wait to get inside and see our stars for the day: Lindsay and Tommy.
You may remember Lindsay and Tommy’s beautiful fall engagement session that I shared earlier this year. It had been an absolute blast working with them during that time and I couldn’t not wait to see them and start capturing all of the details of their beautiful wedding day. My first impression when I first walked into the bridal suite was complete awe because these girls were not only ahead of schedule, but they were the coolest, calmest group of girls that I had ever seen together on a wedding day. I think I told them 10 times that day how impressed I was with how relaxed they all were.
I found out later in the day that Lindsay’s parents had been married in the very same church – a detail I thought was so special for their family. Lindsay also wore a delicate gold and baby pearl necklace that her mom wore on their wedding day as a bracelet – another detail that I just loved.
As the day flowed on I was reminded again and again of how incredibly grateful I was to work with this couple who, truly, have hearts of gold in ever sense of the phrase. Tender, humble, sincere – they are all of that wrapped up into one. Lindsay and Tommy – I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the absolute privilege of capturing one of the biggest days of your lives. I could not image working with a sweeter couple. Below is a glimpse into your day – I hope that you look back on these images for many years to come with warm memories and affection.
