We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful fall day… it was late September in Raleigh and Brier Creek Country Club was the venue for Barbara and Peter’s wedding. Theirs was a love story decades in the making… 🥹

I first met Barbara last fall. We met over video chat, and I was excited to get to know her and hear the story about how she and Peter met. I was NOT prepared for what she shared with me. High school sweethearts who had decided to end their relationship as they set off for different colleges. They maintained their friendship over the years, but life eventually took them in separate directions including a long and successful career for Peter in the Canadian military. As life often goes, they each experienced some curveballs and they each eventually arrived at a place that it seemed destiny was waiting to reunite them. Taking a chance, Peter decided to reach out to Barbara again over social media and suddenly years and miles of distance between them were instantly gone. They both describe that moment as feeling like they were in high school all over again. I could go on and on about how incredibly special this couple is, and how beautiful their wedding day was.
