On today’s blog, I am so excited to share some of my favorite photos from Mike and Nikki’s beautiful engagement session at the Historic Oak View Park in Raleigh, NC!
If you’ve never been to the Historic Oak View Park, I would 100% recommend adding it to your list of sites to see in the Raleigh area. The beautiful open walking areas combined with multiple historic buildings on the property make this location one of my favorites for photo sessions! There is also seasonal pecan gathering from the onsite pecan orchard! Being a Texas girl, I grew up around Pecan farms…so there is something so nostalgic about this location for me. I was thrilled with Mike and Nikki told me that this was where they wanted to capture their engagement photos.
Mike and Nikki met at High Point University. Mike shared with me that it was one of the guidance counselors in high school who encouraged him to consider High Point for his college experience and it seems as if it was meant to be, because that is what ultimately how he and Nikki met.
Fast forward to their post-college years when Mike proposed to Nikki over the winter holidays and now, we are planning their fall wedding this year at Brier Creek Country Club…something I am so excited to capture for them!
Mike and Nikki – you two are SO sweet together and I loved capturing your engagement photos. I cannot wait to celebrate with you all again at your wedding this fall!
