Every time I’m in the process of planning engagement photos with one of my couples, I’m always excited to see what location(s) they decided on for their photos. As a wedding and portrait photographer I’ve seen a lot of great spots in the Raleigh area, and one of my favorite options is when a couple decides to capture some (or all) of their engagement photos at their future wedding venue! That is exactly what Jaclyn and Brian decided to do for their engagement session, and I am so excited to share some of their beautiful photos with you today!
If you’ve never been The Parlour at Manns Chapel, you are missing out! A former functioning Methodist church, the structure was decommissioned in 1985 and subsequently abandoned. While some saw the chapel as “too far gone”, the now owners celebrated restoring the old building (established in 1887) like saving an old friend.
When I first met Jaclyn and Brian and we began planning for their wedding day, I was thrilled to learn that their fall 2023 wedding would be at The Parlour. I’ve had the privilege of photographing at The Parlour on a few occasions and it is always such a thrill! Their stunning building, beautiful grounds and stellar staff all make for a HUGE winning combination in my book. I couldn’t wait to capture their beautiful wedding there and I was even more thrilled when we settled on capturing their engagement photos there as well!
Jaclyn and Brian – you two are the sweetest couple, and I could not be more thrilled than to be walking alongside you all to capture this season. Thank you for that immense privilege, and I hope you all enjoy reliving your engagement session through the photos below.
