As I sit here just a few days away from the first day of November, it’s hard to believe that almost a full month has passed since Jessica and Darius’ beautiful fall wedding. I loved every minute of their Sunday afternoon ceremony (and reception) at the historic St. Thomas Preservation Hall in Wilmington… and I am SO excited to finally share some of my favorite photos from their big day!
Their elegant ceremony was officiated by a dear friend and, as a surprise for all of the guests, he sang “All of Me” by John Legend before the couple said “I do.” That intimate moment was absolutely one of my favorite ceremony elements I have had the privilege of capturing.
Jessica looked stunning in lace wedding gown from David’s Bridal. The elegant open back, long sleeves, and detail at the trim were to die for! Her hair had been perfectly styled by the amazing team at Citrus Salon, with a touch of baby’s breath to seal her model-worthy look. Darius rocked a black tuxedo and burgundy accent, which matched the flowers from Jessica’s fall bouquet perfectly.
After the ceremony, it was amazing to see the beautiful hall transform from ceremony to reception venue in a matter of (what felt like) minutes. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour while we captured family and “just married” photos. As the bride and groom entered the hall again, this time as husband and wife, there was an enthusiastic energy that lasted the whole night!
Jessica and Darius – thank you both for being the kindest couple to work with. It was a joy to serve you both!
