From the moment I first connected with Lindsay I could tell she was going to be an amazing bride to work with. Before their wedding day, we spent a good while on the phone talking as she shared the story of how she and Michael had met in high school, dated throughout college, and now, after six and a half years, were taking the next step to commit their lives to each other. A love story of high school sweethearts grown into “happily-ever-after” was the framework of their lives together and I could not wait to capture this beautiful moment for them!
When I arrived at The Borden Building in Raleigh on their wedding day, it was a cool crisp fall afternoon. An atmosphere of fun and excitement filled the air as friends and family helped the couple prepare for their big day.
I met Michael for the first time on their wedding day and could instantly tell that he had the most kind (and fun!) demeanor. One of the things that I will always remember from this wedding was the speech that Michael gave at their reception. He took the time to thank each of their immediate family members by name, including his new mother-in-law, for the key roles that they had played in his and Lindsay’s lives. The love and support from their friends and family was so tangible in the room at that moment… I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house.
The evening continued with dancing, fun, cake, and a glow stick wand exit which was super fun! Lindsay and Michael – it was an absolute pleasure to serve you on your wedding day. Thank you for the privilege of capturing this moment for you. I wish you two a lifetime of happiness together.
