1. Tell us a little about Falling in Lovely Florals. How was your business started and how long have you been in business?

When Falling In Lovely was started, it was done out of the deep desire to add beauty to the lives of those around me. Now almost 2 years later, our mission is the same, to spread the love of Christ through beautiful creations.

2. What types of wedding floral services do you offer?

Falling in Lovely is a wedding and special event floral design company. We design for any event, from weddings, of course, to small intimate gatherings, large meetings, and everything in between. Whether you’re throwing a baby shower, a bridal shower, a birthday party, or a corporate event, we’ve got you covered with beautiful floral arrangements that will be carefully designed to beautify your event.

3. As a wedding florist, what are the biggest needs that you meet for your couples?

Each customer is unique! Some come to us with a complete vision of what they want, and we execute their idea. With other clients, we go through the design process together to create a vision from a blank slate. We create a customized proposal for each client to make sure we design something unique for their needs and wants. Just like our customers, no one wedding, or event is like another!

4. In your opinion, what are the top benefits of hiring a florist versus trying to DIY your florals?

Many people picture a florist as someone playing with flowers all day and think, how hard can it be? But most don’t consider that you need to know different flower varieties like which do best in what weather and which are hardier vs more delicate.

A few other things to keep in mind are that the flowers need to be purchased as fresh as possible. This is to ensure they last through the prepping process and stay fresh throughout the wedding day. There is more that goes into the mechanics needed for certain arrangements including techniques required to make sure your flowers look gorgeous on the big day.

Overall, there’s a lot more than what meets the eye when making wedding florals. If you’re not properly prepared to take on that task, it can be very stressful to do right before your wedding!

5. What is your favorite part of working with your clients?

Truly, my favorite part of working with my clients is turning their vision into reality! Especially seeing their faces light up when they see the flowers for the first time. The smiles, the tears of joy, and the genuine happiness they have taking it all in. It’s my number one goal to bring their vision to life and if I achieve that, my day is made!

6. If you could share one piece of advice with a couple who is researching florals for their wedding, what would it be?

When looking for floral inspiration for your wedding, go on Pinterest! There are so many beautiful designs and it can help you choose which way you want to go in terms of flowers.

Firstly, create a board and start pinning anything that you like, as small as boutonnieres to as big as floral arches. It doesn’t have to be exactly what you want. It can be the style, the colors, or the setup that you’re drawn to. Then when you reach out to your florist, share that Pinterest board with them. It’s a great starting point for your florist to see what types of florals you’re drawn to and to build off that!

7. Any final thoughts that you would like to share? 

Don’t try to keep up with trends or do what’s “in” because trends come and go! When you look back at your wedding photos in 5, 10, or 15 years, when the trend is long gone, you’re going to want to still love what you see. Choose colors and flowers that make your heart happy!

If it’s within budget and you’re choosing between lots of smaller arrangements or one larger installation, choose the larger installation. It makes a gorgeous statement piece!

Don’t be afraid to ask your florist questions. Find a florist who has a portfolio that matches your style and trust them! Book them sooner rather than later, (vendors really do book up 9-18 months in advance!) Let the florist make your wedding beautiful as you enjoy your special day to the fullest!
