When I first met Lindsay and Tommy I just knew that they were going to be the sweetest couple to work with. We spoke over a video call (which was not uncommon for 2021) and they told me about their story together…including how Tommy had proposed at a Jason Aldean concert! I loved hearing about how much they loved their cats…and then seeing one of those little fur babies pop up in our call! By the time we ended our discussion I was so excited to begin their wedding planning process and schedule their engagement photos.

As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite parts of working with my couples is capturing their engagement photos. Engagement photos are a time for my couples to meet me (sometimes for the very first time) in person. They’re also the perfect opportunity for my couples to become comfortable in front of the camera without the pressure of a wedding day timeline...which is huge!

After a little discussion about what they were envisioning, we decided to schedule this sweet couple’s engagement photos at the NC Museum of Art and, WOW, I am so glad that we did. The beautiful fall day plus the scenic museum park made for a beautiful backdrop for these photos. I cannot wait to work with this sweet couple again for their April 2022 wedding.
