1. Tell us a little about Reign Beauty. How did you get started and how long have you been in business?

Reign Beauty was started in Jan 2021. In the years prior I worked both a corporate job and as a hair and makeup artist under a different company. I’ve always had a strong desire to start something of my own, I just didn’t know when. My brother also owns his own business, so I was somewhat familiar with the process. Post Covid the hair and makeup company I had been working for decided to close its doors leaving an invitation and opportunity to step up and help meet the needs for over 100 brides who no longer had their beauty services secured for their wedding day. I felt this inner pull to help these brides during this time and decided to go for it. I am forever grateful to the artists who came to support me and make the wedding beauty happen that first year.

2. What types of services do you offer?

At Reign Beauty, we offer a range of services from Full Day to Elopement Packages and Ala carte options. We strive to provide solutions that alleviate the guesswork. Our goal is to ensure that every client feels confident and prepared, which is why we offer detailed consultations and provide a welcome packet outlining preparations for the wedding morning at various intervals leading up to the event. Whether opting for in-studio or on-site services, clients can expect top-notch hair and makeup expertise, complemented by clip-in extension packages, hair accessories, and specialized airbrush foundations. Our team of artists undergoes rigorous in-house training, including workshops led by senior artists, with both education and practical experience.

At Reign Beauty, we address the primary needs of our wedding clients by ensuring a curated and worry-free wedding morning. With our expertise in perfecting every detail, we not only provide beautiful hair and makeup but also cultivate a fun and relaxing atmosphere for our clients and their closest friends. Recognizing that many of our clients are navigating the wedding process for the first time, we offer guides to help them navigate the intricacies of the wedding morning.

For me, it’s handing them the mirror and allowing them to see their looks for the first time. There’s something truly magical about witnessing their excitement and joy! Knowing that I’ve played a part in making them feel beautiful and confident for their special day is something I don’t take for granted.

6. If you could share one piece of advice with a couple who is newly engaged, what would it be?

Enjoy the engagement! I know post-engagement is a very exciting time and many of us just want to share the news. But my biggest advice is, enjoy the next few days or weeks to yourselves. Sit in the moment as a couple and truly reflect on your love story. Once the news is out, the inevitable “so when’s the date” questions start to pour in and takes your mind right into wedding planning.

For engagement photos, opting for a look that mirrors your everyday style can ensure a natural and authentic aesthetic. The rehearsal dinner is a great opportunity to experiment with a fun and vibrant look, like adding a pop of color. Bridal sessions call for a preview of the wedding day look, so you feel confident when it comes to the day. But for your actual wedding day look, the choice of style is entirely personal. Keep in mind your individuality and preferences.

It’s essential to find inspiration photos that match your complexion, ensuring a look that complements your natural beauty. Effective communication with your artist is key—remember, it’s a collaborative effort where your input is valued.
